I'm Loretta. The girl behind A Finn In The Kitchen.

Welcome to my place!

I'm fast approaching 30 and am married to a wonderful man named Nick. We have one daughter, born in 2011, who is my biggest source of amusement.

I started this blog because although I love cooking and baking, I was getting into a rut. If I knew what I was making at all, it was something I'd done many, many times before. And I think that's a shame, seeing as I have a massive Pinterest food addiction. Follow me here if you want to get sucked in with me! 

I had visions of becoming more accomplished in the kitchen and learning more about photography at the same time.

I'm a self-described hippie and live a pretty crunchy life. I'm pretty passionate about health (although not all of my food here could be described that way). I love making things from scratch like cleaning supplies and homemade beauty products. Yes, even deodorant! I use organic when possible, but don't get too stressed about it.

I come from a massive family and my older sister inspired me to start this blog.

If you know me in real life, you know how sarcastic I can be. I'll try to keep that to a minimum here because it just comes across as mean! It takes a lot of talent to be sarcastic in type and I just don't have it.
